Gene Chan

IMG_7645rGene Chan is a strategic thinker with a great deal of expertise in the area of program evaluation.  Gene has previously worked as the Director, Community Impact Evaluation Strategies for United Way of the Alberta Capital Region and has also conducted scientific research for Defence Research and Development Canada.

Gene has successfully developed a range of evaluation frameworks and measurement tools for both small and large organizations.  Most recently, Gene has become a content expert in the area of Social Return on Investment (SROI) and has delivered training on the SROI methodology.  Gene is a member of SROI International, the Canadian Evaluation Society and the American Evaluation Association.

Gene holds a Masters of Science from University of Alberta in Experimental Pathology.  Away from work, Gene enjoys hockey, fishing and on four occasions has competed in the Canadian Death Race.
